Next game of the world series
I was not at Busch Stadium for Game 6 of the 2011 World Series, but I had an excellent excuse: My wife was eight months pregnant with our first child, and not only did I not want to be in a different town than her, I honestly just wanted to stare at her until she felt the slightest twitch so we could sprint to the hospital. ar 670-1 boots regulation Instead, for Game 6, I went to Foley’s, the official Cardinals fan bar of New York City, where Andy Cohen and Jon Hamm scream alongside hundreds of fellow Toasted Ravioli eaters throughout the season. My wife came with me, but, as tends to happen with pregnant women, she got hot and tired, so she decided to go home around the sixth inning. She insisted I stay. I did not argue with her.
Coincidentally, this game was one of two major DFW vs. St. Louis sporting events taking place in Arlington on that day, as the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Rams had played at nearby Cowboys Stadium that afternoon; during the opening coin toss, Berkman and Hamilton, in uniform, had each served as honorary captains for their city’s team.
Rangers starter Derek Holland silenced the Cardinals’ bats in Game 4, a 4-0 Texas win. The left-hander allowed only two hits and struck out seven over 8 1/3 innings, and Mike Napoli broke the game open in the sixth with a three-run homer off St. Louis reliever Mitchell Boggs.
Joe Buck’s call of “…we will see you tomorrow night!” on David Freese’s walk-off home run echoed his father Jack’s call of Kirby Puckett’s walk-off home run from Game 6 of the 1991 World Series, occurring 20 years and a day apart from each other, given the similar situations: Game 6, 11th inning, first batter of the final inning, and breaking a 3–3 tie to win the game 4–3, and extend the series to a 7th game.
Josh Hamilton and Michael Young had RBI doubles in the first inning against Chris Carpenter, who became the first pitcher in a decade to make three starts in one Series thanks to the unnecessary postponement of Game 6 due to forecasted rain that did not occur. David Freese had a game-tying two-run double in the bottom of the first, breaking the postseason RBI record, and Allen Craig hit a go-ahead homer in the third. Craig even robbed a home run from Nelson Cruz in the sixth. St. Louis added two runs off Scott Feldman in the fifth inning without getting a hit. Yadier Molina walked with the bases loaded, C. J. Wilson came on to relieve Feldman and promptly hit Rafael Furcal with his first pitch, forcing in another run to make it 5–2. In the seventh inning, Lance Berkman scored on a Molina single to make it 6–2.
When is game 5 of the world series
Below is the full World Series schedule, including start times as well as TV and streaming info. Game 5 will be the last game of October. Depending on the results on Wednesday, the next MLB game will either be in November or March 2025.
The Dodgers won Game 1 on the strength of Freeman’s Kirk Gibson-style walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning, but they took a commanding 3-1 series lead thanks to, surprisingly, their starting pitching. Jack Flaherty, Yamamoto and Buehler combined to allow three runs in 16⅔ innings, obliterating the Yankees’ biggest advantage.
5) Can the Yankees build off this?Volpe’s grand slam in Game 4 seemed to wake up not just Yankee Stadium, but really the whole team. They went from dejected to energized with one swing of the bat, and that energy seemed to build throughout the game. It culminated in a five-run eighth inning that not only allowed the Yankees to not send out Luke Weaver in the top of the ninth for a third inning of work, but it may have been the final push to get Judge, and honestly this whole offense, going.

Game 3 college world series
2. At 9:00 a.m. Stadium staff will start the lottery process. Each person in line (over age of 16 and with a matching photo ID to their credit/debit card) will be assigned a number, that number will also be put into a box where it will then be randomly drawn.
Texas A&M scored three early runs off Florida starter Liam Peterson, then held on even as Florida mounted a rally late. The Gators loaded the bases against Aggies relief ace Evan Aschenbeck in the eighth inning but could not scratch across the tying run.
On top of its impressive offensive effort, Tennessee also got excellent pitching from each of its three arms. After Zander Sechrist set the tone with a quality start in which he allowed two runs across 6.1 innings, Kirby Connell (1.2 IP) and Nate Snead fired 2.2 shutout innings to slam the door. Although Florida State’s season came to an end, it is one that will not soon be forgotten in Tallahassee. After failing to make the ACC Tournament last season, this season felt like what will become the new norm for the Seminoles under head coach Link Jarrett.
