The formula, as the New York/New Jersey leaders described it, was leveraging the worldwide brand recognition that comes from the area’s landmarks whether it be Central Park, the Statue of Liberty or the region’s history in hosting previous major soccer matches. MetLife Stadium hosted the 2012 Copa Centario final and its predecessor, Giants Stadium, was the site for many 1994 World Cup matches (including a semifinal and third-place match) plus the opening U.S. women’s national team match in the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Germany’s run in the World Cup can be divided into three periods, Germany pre World War II, West Germany and the present-day reunified Germany. However, all three are considered one nation in the record books.
Mexico City is the only capital of the three host nations chosen as a venue site, with Ottawa and Washington, D.C., joining Bonn (West Germany, 1974) and Tokyo (Japan, 2002) as the only capital cities not selected to host World Cup matches. Washington was a host city candidate but, due to the poor state of FedExField, combined its bid with nearby Baltimore’s, which was also unsuccessful. Other cities eliminated from the final hosting list were Cincinnati, Denver, Nashville, Orlando, and Edmonton. Ottawa’s candidate venue, TD Place Stadium, was eliminated early on due to insufficient capacity. None of the stadiums used in the 1994 FIFA World Cup will be used in this tournament, and the Azteca is the only stadium in this tournament that was used in the 1970 and 1986 FIFA World Cups.

While Ubisoft has not revealed how long it’ll take to complete Star Wars Outlaws, two key developers have commented on their desire to avoid making it “too big” — a common criticism for recent Ubisoft open-world games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. “Too big,” according to Gerighty and narrative director Navid Khavari, “is a game that people don’t manage to play, enjoy, and finish.”
What this game doesn’t do, and to be fair this is pretty true for all of Star Wars, is confront the nature of organised crime. If you’re looking for a Godfather-like exploration of tested loyalties, this isn’t it.
STAR WARS OUTLAWS is a fantastic world to visit with complex locations teeming with life, the fun of exploring the galaxy with blaster in hand or in the cockpit of your starfighter is one that kept me smiling all the way through.
